As emperor, Constantine implemented significant reforms to strengthen the Roman army. He increased the size and pay of the legions, introduced new weapons and tactics, and established a professional officer corps. Constantine also reorganized the provincial commands, creating smaller units that were easier to manage and deploy. These reforms greatly improved the effectiveness of the Roman army, which had been weakened by decades of internal strife and external pressures.

Major Campaigns
